Ahead of June 2023 Election to replace the Ikenna Uwanna led Exco of NBA Lagos, the NBA Lagos Electoral Committee, will today 14th of April by 12 midnight, close its doors to accepting any nomination from aspirants.
We are reliably informed that in accordance with established convention of zoning in the Branch, only South West sons and daughters, are allowed to slug it out after South East had held sway. These are the South West sons who are at daggers drawn; Adebola Olarotimi Lema, Esq, Mayowa Owolabi and Olabisi Makanjuola. They have submitted their forms and are going about wooing members to be the chosen one to midwife the affairs of the Branch 2023-2025.
Submitting his form, Lema, the Managing Partner of Fountain Court Partners, labeled the underdog in this race, was a former Secretary of the Lagos Branch, called to Bar in 2003, is campaigning with the mantra; Let us keep the NBA Lagos Branch together as ONE”, appealed to would be voters, “ I consider it a privilege to address you with respect to my aspiration to serve as the next Chairman of our dear Association, to which you have individually and collectively agreed to support with your time, energy and resources. Be rest assured that I do not take it for granted as I will always cherish your commitment.
I believe you will do your best in marketing my manifesto which will be made available to you as soon as the Election Committee lifts the ban on electioneering campaign.”
