Mr. Sadiq Abubakar, the FCT Police Commissioner, on Thursday revealed to newsmen that 17,401 men and officers in his command, will be deployed to provide security in the FCT during the forthcoming Presidential Election.
For effective policing and protection of voters and votes cast, he informed newsmen that FCT Abuja has been divided into 9 sections, with an AIG of Police manning each.
He said the division was to ensure adequate coverage of all parts of the territory, especially the suburbs and challenging terrains.
