In continuation of finding common grounds to actualize the one month expiration date of the Committee, ie conduct an election into Nyanya-Lawyers Forum, the NBA Committee has through its Secretary, Mrs. Ogechi Duruaku, Esq., issued a Notice of meeting.
According to the said Notice, the meeting will take place on Friday 3rd February, 2023.
Time: 3PM.
VENUE: High Court 19, Karu .F.C.T, Abuja.
The Agenda as set out in the meeting is;;
1. Opening prayer.
2. Introduction of members of the committee.
3. Introduction of members.
4. Welcome remarks by the Chairman of the committee.
5. Matters arising from Chairman’s remark.
6. Motion for Adjournment.
7. Closing prayer.

Some members, reacting to the Notice posted in Nyanya-Karu Branch WhatsApp, took exception to the continuous reference to them as Nyanya-Karu Lawyers’ Forum. They quickly reiterate that on June 9, 2022 at NBA NEC held in Ilorin, the Forum ceases to exist and that they are now a full fledged Branch with all rights, privileges and status of a Branch.
Michael responding, urged members not to honor the Notice as the Committee has called a meeting to meet with a dead, non existent Forum.
One of the warring fraction of the fractured Bar, called for caution and urged members to attend out of respect for the NBA President.
She further said that this derogatory nomenclature of calling a Branch a Forum, is best addressed in the front of the Committee, rather than winking in the dark and whistling the complaint against the wind.
