The popular pepper soup, grill fish joint in Kubwa, Yellow Page, was raided yesterday by men of the Nigeria Police Force.
The invasion took both operators of the drinking joints and customers by surprise. Everyone and anyone they could pick, was arrested and thrown into the vans.
This raid we were told, will become a regular occurrence as the Police has vowed to rid Kubwa of crime.
But a lawyer we spoke to, said that, the raid was uncalled for and connected to resent disturbances at AJ’s Lounge, which led to the death of Afam, an Uber driver.
The lawyer, denounced this profiling and arresting of innocent citizens who went out to unwind.
We reached out to the Kubwa Police Area Command phase 4, they acknowledged the raid, alluding that it was a joint operation coordinated from FCT Police Command.
