Dame Pauline Tallen; Court Grants NBA Leave To Serve

The matter of Incorporated Trustees of NBA v. Dame Pauline Tallen, KSG (Hon Minister Women Affairs and Social Development) Suit No: CV/816/2022 came up today for hearing but legal team  to Incorporated Trustee of NBA, led by Nwabueze Obasi-Obi, Esq informed court that attempts at personal service on the Defendant were abortive haven informed the court on 12th of January and that the business of the day, was the report of Service and that the Motion Expertè praying the Court for an Order to serve the Originating Processes via Substituted Service, was ripe for hearing.

The FCT High Court No. 4, presided by Hon. Justice Kekemeke, granted the prayers as prayed by T. J. J Danjuma, Esq.
Other members of NBA legal team are; O. O Amadi, Esq, P. S Adams, Esq, A. V Opadotun, Esq and C. G Okeke, Esq.
The matter was adjourned to 6th day of March, 2023. NBA approached the Court, following the Defendant’s calling the judgment of Court “Kangaroo.”

Via Originating Summons, the NBA had sought the following reliefs amongst others;
  b.  a declaration that by virtue of the aforesaid statement of the Defendant referring to the judgment of Court as ‘kangaroo’, the Defendant is thereby unfit to hold or continue to hold the office of the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development of the Federal Government of Nigeria, or any public office of the Federal Republic of Nigeria;
c.  a declaration that by virtue of the Defendant being a Public Officer and Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who swore to uphold and defend the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, her statements inciting the public against the judgment of the Federal High Court is a flagrant breach of her Oath of Office and disregard to the provisions of the said Constitution, particularly Section 287 (3) of the 1999 Constitution thereof.
