The Joint Sports committee of the Nigerian Bar Association ( NBA) branches in Lagos State has announced preparation for a football tournament and other sporting events among the NBA branches in Lagos.
The joint committee headed by Anthony Atata,who is also the Chairman of Sports and Recreation committee Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association,Lagos branch in a telephone conversation with Kubwa Express said that the event will foster friendship and healthy living among Lawyers in Lagos. He also hinted that that more sporting events like cycling, Athletes and Tennis will be part of the event.
Under his leadership as the Sports and Recreation Chairman of the NBA,Lagos branch,the Committee launched the ” One Lawyer One Sports” campaign aimed at encouraging every lawyer to take up at least one sport to ensure physical and mental wellbeing of lawyers.
According to him, all the branches have shown interest in the event and preparation is in top gear to put things in place for the April/ May event.
