The FCT Intelligence Squad of the Nigeria Police, has squashed a syndicate of suspected armed robbers in Masaka Area 1, Nasarawa State.
According to sources, these suspects were arrested in a hotel, where they hangout to plot robbery in Masaka and parts of FCT.
Masaka shares borders with Mararaba, Karu and easily access to parts of FCT Abuja.
The apprehended suspects have been transferred to FCT Police Command for further interrogation. Different caliber of guns, police and civil defense armor deflector vest, cell phones, charms and teargas canisters, and life ammunitions, were confiscated during the raid by the Police.
Against this backdrop, we reiterate the call by the police to all citizens to be vigilant, security is the concern of all; if you see something, any suspicious movement or suspicious new comer in your neighborhood, raise alarm and alert the nearest police station.
