Some Lagos based lawyers, led by Mrs Abiye Tam George, and Ifenna Okeke, Vice Chairman NBA Lagos and Welfare Secretary respectively of Etiosa Lawyers Forum, this morning, stormed Ajiwe Police Station in Ajah area of Lagos, to demand that the police officer responsible for the death of their colleague, Mrs. Omobalanle Raheem, Esq be unmasked and made to face the law.
The DPO capitulated and ordered the arrest of ASP Ayuba, who is identified as the trigger happy officer.
Speaking to the lawyers, the DPO said that it was a case of misuse of firearms and that ASP Ayuba will be processed and handed over to the Court once the Christmas holidays are over.
The lawyers then trooped to Mrs. Raheem’s house to commensurate with her husband, who was in the car when the unfortunate incident happened on Christmas Day.
