Mazi Afam At 50: AN ICON WORTH CELEBRATING

Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN FCIArb is a role model to many of us. He is a leader extraordinaire and thoroughbred Barman. He is truly that big brother that we all need in our lives. He is humble and takes genuine interest in what affects others.

When I started my law firm few years ago, the learned silk did not only pray for my success, but gifted me my first set of LFN. Complete set I must say! As a starter, you really can imagine how important that is to me and the firm. He also gave me my first printer which I am still using at the moment.

Mazi Afam and I served in President Alegeh’s Administration and Mazi would treat most of us who were younger as he would his own family.

When I got married in the year 2015, Mazi was there for me from the start till the end. His support during my wedding was massive and he stayed with us on the day of the wedding from the start of the wedding till about 10pm when he left Gwagwalada to his house. Only a true friend and brother would do such for you.

I truly cannot list the great things Mazi has done in my life , that of my family and even my firm.

Mazi Afam Osigwe is worthy of celebration any day anytime. His assessment of people is not based on where they come from but their character and what they represent.

He is a role model to me and many of us who see him as a perfect example of what humility truly is.

I would also call him at odd hours to seek his opinion on matters I am handling and in his usual manner, would dish out authorities and legal advice with ease. I do refer to Mazi and my big brother, A. A. Malik, SAN as the ‘twin encyclopedias’

Only two days ago, I was in Court for a matter that has attracted serious public attention and interest. I called Mazi to seek his opinion and I was amazed at how he attended to my enquiry. I frankly cannot remember how many briefs he has referred to my firm where it has to do with Islamic Law.

Happy birthday to you my big brother Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN FCIArb. Cheers to a new age!

It is my prayer that God will continue to shower his divine Mercy and Blessings upon your life.
