On Saturday, three months outside the June mandated for all branches of NBA to conduct its election, NBA Keffi conducted her election and Nuhu John Egya, emerged as the Chairman. 
Egya takes over from Yakubu Moses Ede.
Observers are still wondering why Keffi Branch did not conduct her election in the month of June; why NBA did not sanction her and furthermore, will Egya harmonize with the provisions of the NBA Constitution and his tenure end in June 2024 or will he insist on October 2024?
Egya during his campaign, promised to endure equitable leadership and pleaded with members, to “just give me the tools and I will do the work.”
Abubakar Wakawa was also elected as Publicity Secretary of the Branch.
