DANIEL KIP INTER-UNIVERSITY MOOT COURT TOUR/COMPETITION ENTERS ORAL ADVOCACY STAGE

The Daniel Kip Inter-University Moot Court Competition has entered the oral advocacy stage.

The Oral advocacy stage of the Daniel Kip Inter-university National Moot Court Tour will feature top four teams, drawn from four Universities, securing progression, having scaled through the preliminary rounds.The Teams are Team Justice Miriam Mukhtar, Team Justice Ademola Adetokumbo, Team Justice Chukwudemufu Oputa and Team Justice Walter Onnoghen, with Team Justice Miriam Mukhtar recording the highest point average for the rounds due to the quality of their originating processes which was adjudged as the best by the Assessors.

The event which was earlier scheduled to take place between February to April, 2022, and was designed to take the form of a tour to different campuses, was delayed as a result of the ongoing ASUU strike.
This development has however forced the Planning Committee of the event to redesign the format of the event while also readjusting the calendar of the much anticipated advocacy competition.

The oral advocacy rounds which will be virtual, will be holding on the 28th of this month, and will feature the top four teams from the brief writing stage battling for a place in the grand finale to be hosted in the city of Calabar.

Draws for the oral advocacy stage has since been released with Team Justice Chukwudimufu Oputa taking on Team Justice Miriam Mukhtar while Team Justice Walter Onnoghen will face Team Justice Ademola Adetokumbo for a place in the final.

Further details regarding the oral rounds will be disclosed in the coming days. Also look out for the profile of those who will be sitting as Judges for this round.
