Our indefatigable co-publisher, has informed us that he will be going to attend the April meeting of NBA Port Harcourt, Rivers State, despite his avowed resistance to visit branches but reach them through ICT.
He insists that it is not a campaign trip but a home coming, to inform his home base that he wants to play at the national league. A Branch he proudly calls his Parent Branch.
According to Felix Chukwuma Ashimole, his first post-Call BPF, was paid using Port Harcourt Branch as his local Branch in 2004. This was while he was undergoing National Youth Service in Rivers State Ministry of Justice 2003-2004.
He further states, “ I am going home to where my practice started and where I want to start my career as NBA National Officer.
I met my wife here during Youth Service in PH, she is a lawyer and my Call mate from Gombe State.”
I am home where my home started and we have weathered lots of storms this past 16 years but the beautiful memories of D-Line, Shell Quarters, Rumu Okoro, Mile 1, UniRust, Pal Board, Ogbunike, Bonny Island, Lagos Street are forever fresh in our minds.
If not for love I found in PH that took me away from PH, I would’ve remained a member of NBA Port Harcourt but it is this same love that has brought me to attend your meeting and seek audience with you.
