Members of the apex association of igbo lawyers, Otu Oka-Iwu Law Society, while expressing their condolences to Dr. Monday Onyekachi Ubani, promised “While you and your entire family remain in our thoughts and prayers, we pray that God grants his soul eternal repose.”
The condolence message which is on page 79 of burial brochure, was signed by Joy Nzube-Uzoeghelu President and Obinna Okereke, Secretary and it reads;

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE.
The entire members of Otu Oka-Iwu (Law Society) are saddened by the news of the passing of your beloved father, Chief bani Egbedubi Nwokocha (Egoro Oti).
We know that death is painful, especially when it involves the loss of a beloved father, but we take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled and to a ripe old age of 101 years.
He also left indelible legacies for humanity, not least your esteemed self, being a ranking member of our great association, a foremost Bar Leader, former NBA Vice President and a leading human rights activist.
While you and your entire family remain in our thoughts and prayers, we pray that God grants his soul eternal repose.
