Like Olympic ping pong between China and Japan, the Nigeria Police has yet again, tossed the restrictions of movement today, Saturday 12 Feb, 2022.
A new curfew is now imposed on Election Day, Saturday 12, Feb, between the hours of 8am to 3pm. Late Friday, the FCT Commissioner of Police, announced relaxation of restrictions on movement it had announced on Thursday.
According to the police, the reintroduction of curfew became necessary because, “Based on credible intelligence available to FCT police command, criminals are planning to explore the absence of restrictions of movement earlier announced to disrupt the peaceful conduct of the area council elections,”
Only those on essential services would be allowed to move freely within this period.
