The SMS below, is making rounds in many professional WhatsApp groups. It is believed to emanate from the office of the Minister of FCT.
The SMS reads, “The FCT Area Councils election holds this Saturday 12 February, 2022.
There will be restriction of movement from 0000hrs to 1600hrs.
You are advised to plan your movement ahead, please.”
Attempts to call FCT Administration office, to confirm this, proved abortive. Infirmed sources, said the order to restrict vehicular movement, was issued by the police and not the FCT Minister.
But drawing from “no movement” during INEC organized elections, we appeal to all residents of Kubwa Abuja, to be cautious on Election Day and limit themselves to the Polling Unit, where they registered to vote.
