The geographical area known as Kubwa, politically, has 3 INEC Wards. These Wards are Kubwa, Usuma and Byazhin.
Usuma Ward geographically include; Owners Occupier, Army Scheme, Federal Housing, Berger Camp, 2-1, 2-2, Phase 3, Phase 4, PW, F14-NEPA Road and Kubwa Extension.
Usuma Ward has 79 polling units.
Of all the Wards in Kubwa, Usuma, has the highest concentration of non-natives. It is the elite Ward in Kubwa and boasts of housing over 90 % of the estates in Kubwa.
Like the other two Wards, Usuma Ward has 7 candidates gunning for the Councilor seat in the February 12th FCT Area Council Election.
Today, we had encounter with one of the councilorship candidates seeking to represent Usuma Ward, Hon. Mike Chuks Nwosu, the ADC Candidate in his church, CKC, Kubwa. He is a devout Catholic, a community mobilizer and is the President of Justice, Development & Peace Commission (JDPC ), CKC Kubwa Parish, as well as North Central General Secretary of Concerned Citizens of Nigeria. He spoke eloquently and exuded passion in his desire to represent Usuma Ward. Full interview will be publish in our subsequent edition.
He urged residents of Usuma to show interest in the politics of Kubwa and come out to vote on Election Day.
