Felix Ashimole Felicitates EBF As She Meets In Awka

When Igbo man says Awusa abah Awka, he means the situation is chaotic, danger and beyond repairs!
This express entered Igbo lexicon during the Biafran war. Abagana near Awka, put up fierce resistance and Federal troops suffered heavily, losing over 6,000 soldiers (March 1st 1968)This made Awka to feel invisible and arrogant until Federal troops regrouped and shelled their way into Awka, massacring everything that moves.
At the sight of these troops, warning shout of Awusa Abah Awka was sent to warn other Biafran cities and citizens, that such fate that befell Awka awaits them, if they don’t act fast.
I am in Awka. It is not my first visit but today I am politically visiting to participate in the Quarterly Meeting of the Eastern Bar Forum (EBF) EBF is a pressure group within NBA that draws its membership from the states that made up the old East Central State and now are split into South-South and South-East. The states are; Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo and Rivers.
I seek to consult with members of the Branches in East Central State (as it then was), on issues bordering on NBA Publicity.
I believe that NBA is old enough to have è-diary, wherein all branch activities for the year will be, so that clashes of dates will not regularly occur.   Furthermore, Publicity Secretaries of Branches, should synchronize their activities and find a synergy to make their activities publicized real-time and alive on NBA website.Against the above, I will while in Awka, network, make friends with the native and reassure them that my presence though in a sense akin to Awusa Abah Awka, is not total massacre but a ferocious friendly harvest of contacts from members of EBF.
I wish EBF fruitful quarterly meeting.
