FROM ABANDONED FARM LAND TO DEVELOPING CITY: THE TRANSFORMATIVE COMMUNITY POWER LED BY CHAMPIONS ROYAL ASSEMBLY HEADQUARTERS IN CHIKAKORE, KUBWA ABUJA

Part 1

In a remarkable tale of transformation, Prophet Joshua Iginla, President of Champions Royal Assembly, has, in conjunction with community stakeholders, helped revolutionize the once-neglected farm land community of Chikakore in Kubwa, Abuja.A decade ago, God guided Prophet Iginla to this predominantly farmland, characterized by limited accessibility, sparse population, and a lack of basic infrastructure. Undeterred by the challenges, Prophet Iginla, under God’s leading, took it upon himself, along with a few individuals, to provide infrastructure. Notably, he shouldered most of the high-budget infrastructure demands, not only for the church but also for the community’s benefit. These initiatives included accessible roads, bridges, electricity, and security.
Although the main road remains unpaved, Prophet Iginla, the government and stakeholders have planned to complete the road project and this is currently receiving better cooperation from all stakeholders. The impact of these efforts on the Chikakore community has been profound, witnessing unprecedented growth and development. The community has transformed from a farm settlement to a vibrant hub of activities, sparking a chain reaction of development. Landlords began constructing modern buildings, and people flocked to the area, leading to a surge in population.
Today, Chikakore boasts an impressive array of amenities and business activities, including hotels, lounges, fueling stations, estates, gas stations, plazas, supermarkets, local markets, gyms, churches, and more. The headquarters church of Champions Royal Assembly has indeed influenced not only the transformation of Chikakore’s physical landscape but has also brought security, hope, and prosperity to its residents.
Subsequent publications will delve deeper into the community growth contributions of Champions Royal Assembly to the thriving and fast-growing community of Chikakore, Abuja.
