The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has increased pump price of petrol in Abuja by 14.8%.
The new price at NNPC filling stations, is N1,030 as against N897, it was at the beginning of the week. This is the second time the petrol price has been increased in the past one month.
NNPC had in September hiked pump price from N615 per litre to N897.
This increase according to NNPCL is as a result of the termination of its exclusive purchase agreement with Dangote Refinery.
NNPCL will no longer be the sole off-taker of Dangote fuel. Independent marketers are now free to negotiate prices directly with Dangote Refinery.
