Ogunlana: We Have Lost A Fearless Barman!

I received with shock the news about the sudden death of Mr. Adesina Aluta Ogunlana, Esq., former chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, and a fearless activist who celebrated his 60th birthday a few weeks back.
The loss of Mr. Ogunlana is profoundly felt across the legal profession and beyond, as we remember a man whose life was dedicated to the pursuit of justice, equality, and human rights.
Mr. Adesina Ogunlana was more than just a lawyer; he was a beacon of hope and a voice for the voiceless. His tenure as the chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, was marked by significant achievements and unwavering commitment to the rule of law.
He championed numerous causes, standing firm in the face of adversity and often putting himself at great personal risk to advocate for justice and the protection of fundamental rights.Mr. Ogunlana participated actively in the ongoing End Bad Governance protest in Lagos, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to fighting for a better society. His courage and dedication to this cause further exemplified his role as a true champion of the people.
His legal career was distinguished by his fearless advocacy and dedication to the principles of fairness and equality. He was known for his eloquence in the courtroom, his sharp legal mind, and his ability to galvanize others towards a common cause.
His leadership within the Nigerian Bar Association was characterized by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a commitment to the professional development of his colleagues.
In this time of immense grief, I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Adesina Ogunlana, the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, and his many friends and colleagues.
His death is immeasurable, and no words can adequately express the sorrow we feel. May we find strength and solace in the memories of his remarkable life and the legacy he leaves behind.
