We are all acutely aware of the current hardships caused by the state of our economy. These challenging times have no doubt tested our resolve, but don’t forget we have a bar bestowed on us by our founding fathers, a very powerful tool for addressing issues and driving change.
As agents of change, we are committed to building a Proactive Bar.
With your support and the mandate of our colleagues, we will identify problems, anticipate challenges, and provide solutions as they arise. Indeed, I must add that your perseverance and dedication have been nothing short of extraordinary.
We see and understand the struggles that many of us are facing, with particular reference to our Young Lawyers, (not to exclude some seniors) and we are deeply committed to finding solutions to these pressing issues.Your efforts in creating a strong social media presence have not gone unnoticed.
Your voices, your shares, your posts, and your unwavering online support have amplified our message and brought our AFFAMATIVE friends together in ways I could never have imagined. Our vision is to speak truth to power and bring our experience to bear. I am committed to ensuring that your efforts will be worth celebrating after our two years in office, God willing.
I promise to roll up my sleeves, work tirelessly to address the challenges we face and to build a vibrant and proactive bar for all of us.

Finally, as we approach the finish line in few weeks, I want to congratulate us all for the efforts and also encourage us to leave no stone unturned. Please keep on the good works, it is not over until it is over. I would borrow the words from Theodore Roosevelt – “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.”
