NBA Nyanya Karu: Ferdinand Naza Sends Goodwill Message

I am delighted to extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the Nigerian Bar Association, Nyanya/Karu Branch, on the occasion of your maiden Law Week. The theme, “Insecurity in Nigeria: Sufficiency of the Laws,” is both timely and crucial, reflecting one of the most pressing issues facing our nation today. As we gather from the 21st to 27th of June, 2024, at the Defence Intelligence College, Karu, Abuja, we are provided with a unique opportunity to delve into the adequacy of our legal frameworks in tackling the pervasive issue of insecurity in Nigeria. This theme highlights the crucial role that our profession must play in ensuring that our laws are not only comprehensive but also effective in safeguarding the lives and properties of all Nigerians.
Insecurity remains a significant obstacle to our national development and peace. It is therefore imperative for us, as legal practitioners, to rigorously assess and advocate for the enhancement of our legal instruments to meet the evolving security challenges.
This Law Week serves as a vital platform for meaningful dialogue, innovative solutions, and concerted efforts aimed at strengthening our legal responses to insecurity.
I commend the leadership and members of the Nyanya/Karu Branch for the theme of this year’s Law Week. Your focus on the sufficiency of our laws in combating insecurity is not only pertinent but essential for fostering a safer and more secure nation.
As a candidate for the office of the National Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, I pledge to work tirelessly to amplify the voices of our members and to ensure that our association’s efforts in addressing critical national issues are visible and impactful.
May this maiden Law Week be marked by productive discussions, actionable insights, and strengthened unity within our legal community. Together, let us continue to champion the rule of law and strive towards a more secure and just society.
Thank you, and I wish you all a successful and impactful Law Week.
Yours sincerely, Ferdinand Naza, MCArb,
Candidate for the Office of the National Publicity Secretary, Nigerian Bar Association
