EBF Holds Summit Uyo 2024.

The Eastern Bar Forum (EBF) is pleased to announce the forthcoming Eastern Bar Forum Summit 2024, a landmark event aimed at addressing the contemporary challenges of economic crises and insecurity through robust legal and legislative solutions.The summit with the theme: Contemporary Challenges: Exploring Legal and Legislative Solutions to Economic Crises and Insecurity,”, is scheduled to take  place from June 20th to 22nd, 2024, in Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State.    It will be a melting pot of intellectual ideas and discussions and will bring together a diverse group of participants, including lawyers, members of civil societies, federal, state, and local government officials, the  judiciary, and representatives of traditional institutions.
The summit will be officially opened by the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno. The keynote address will be delivered by a former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and current Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Godswill Akpabio

Esteemed speakers such as Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, SAN, a former President of the NigerianBar Association, founding Partner of Olisa Agbakoba and Associates and founder of Nigeria’s foremost human rights organization, Civil Liberties Organisation(CLO); renowned lawyer, academic, public policy expert and Director, Abuja School of Social and political Thought, Dr. Sam Amadi; and Rt. Hon.Onofiok Luke a member of the Body of Benchers, past member representing  Etinan/Nsit Ibom and Nsit  Ubium Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, former Speaker, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and youths advocate, will also share their insights and experiences, providing a rich tapestry of perspectives on the critical issues facing Nigeria today.
The EBF Summit 2024 promises to be an unparalleled opportunity for stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue, exchange ideas, and propose actionable solutions to some of the most pressing challenges confronting the nation. Through collaborative efforts and expert contributions, the summit aims to chart a sustainable course for Nigeria’s future.The summit will dovetail into the 2nd Quarterly Meeting of the Eastern Bar Forum.
