Despite the assurances given by the new FCT Commissioner of Police, that his men will secure lives and properties as well as deal with kidnappers, the residents of Bwari Area Council are still under siege by Bandits, who stroll in at will to kidnap and plunder the Council.
On Friday, kidnappers suspected to be bandits, killed one Olayinka Ogunyemi, a civil engineer, after his family failed to pay the ransom demanded.
Mr. Ogunyemi, was among seven persons kidnapped from Kuduru, Bwari Area Council.
According to a community source, the others abducted are; Godwin Rachel Adeoye, Godwin Dominic Austin Buremo, Hassan Usman, Hassan Faosiya and Bako Azeez.
He further stated that the bandits threatened to kill the remaining captives, including one and half year-old boy, two siblings, the pregnant woman and two men, if N230 million ransom they demanded are not given to them.
