In furtherance of its mandate to raise funds for and manage the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Medical Fund, members of the NBA National Welfare Committee under the leadership of High Chief Emeka Ozoani SAN paid a visit to Chief Emeka Obegolu SAN at his beautiful law firm, located at the highbrow National Assembly Legislative Quarters, Abuja.
High Chief Ozoani informed Obegolu SAN that the purpose of the visit was to solicit his financial support for the NBA medical fund.
He added that the fund was established to financially support critically ill lawyers. He lamented the embarrassment faced by the Association when sick lawyers resort to fund raising on Go Fund Me on the Internet to pay their medical bills.
He stressed the importance of members of the profession to support their own and commended Chief Obegolu SAN for financially supporting several worthy causes.
He assured Obegolu SAN that all those who donate to the NBA medical fund would receive regular updates on how the fund is being utilized to positively alleviate the suffering of critically ill lawyers. 
Chief Obegolu SAN who is also the President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce, thanked the Committee for their visit. He acknowledged the numerous financial support High Chief Ozoani has made to lawyers facing different challenging situations. He lauded High Chief Ozoani’s exemplary leadership skills and assured him that in the fullness of time, his generosity would be remembered kindly.
Chief Obegolu SAN made an instant donation of N500,000 to the NBA medical fund and pledged more donations in the coming months.
Members of the Committee were also treated to a lavish reception.
