On 19th December 2023, Chief Emeka Ozoani SAN (Chairman NBA National Welfare Committee), extended his generous arm of support to Uyo based legal practitioner Mrs Florence Allison.
Mrs. Alison has been on a wheel chair and unable to practice for three years after suffering a stroke occasioned by the demise of her very cherished loved ones. Due to her travails she relocated from Port Harcourt to Uyo and has been in dire need of support to fund her recovery.
Chibuzor Gladys Chidubem Esq. a member of NBA notified Chief Ozoani SAN of the plight of this colleague.
Moved by his ceaseless stream of compassion, Chief Ozoani SAN nominated Mrs Chibuzor to travel to Uyo, spend time with the lawyer and present a gift of N500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) to the lawyer.
Mrs Chibuzor was accompanied by lawyers from NBA Uyo and Oron Branches. They include Mrs Inemesit Okure (Welfare Sec Uyo branch), Mr. Elder Emmanuel Archibong (Secretary Welfare Committee Uyo branch), Mr Augustine Enefiok(Chairman NBA Uyo branch), Idoreyin Akpan (PRO FIDA) who represented the FIDA Chairperson), Chief Godwin Effiong (Former Vice Chairman Oron branch), and Elder John Ekpe (Oron branch).
Mrs Florence Alisson expressed her deep appreciation to Chief Emeka Ozoani SAN for identifying with her in her time of need. She prayed for the endless blessings of Almighty God Jehovah to be on Chief Ozoani SAN.
Recall that Chief Ozoani SAN has always supported lawyers and branches across Nigeria that require some sort of support. Courtesy of his financial support running into several millions, Bori based legal Practitioner Burabari Nkor has regained his sight which most person’s thought was impossible.
Chief Ozoani’s uncommon generosity, simplicity and compassion has prompted the call from lawyers across Nigeria for him to join the race for the position of the NBA President in 2024. Our investigation reveals that Chief Ozoani is currently traveling across Nigeria consulting with the Elders and members of the NBA, preparatory to answering the clarion call of lawyers who believe that Chief Emeka Ozoani SAN has what it takes to lead the NBA at this turbulent time.
Chief Emeka Ozoani SAN is the Chairman of the NBA National Welfare Committee. Before his appointment by YC Maikyau SAN to this position, he served as the Alternate Chairman of the NBA National Welfare Committee under the Olumide Akpata administration. Chief Ozoani SAN came to limelight through his brilliant performance in Court and winning many landmark cases.
