The leadership crisis bedeviling the newly created NBA Nyanya-Karu Branch, has dovetailed into dangerous dimension, with Augustine Ibolo, Nyanya-Karu Lawyers Forum Chairman, being charged for criminal Misappropriation and conversion of funds contrary to Section 308 of The Penal Code Act. He will be arraigned today at Chief Magistrate Court Karu.
Five members of the Branch via Direct Criminal Complaint application, approached the court, praying that Ibolo Esq, be tried for criminal Misappropriation contrary to Section 308 of the Penal Code.
The Application signed by Festus Osimhen Esq. was brought pursuant to Section 110(1)C, 88(1) and 89(3) of The Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015 reads among other paragraphs;
5. The Defendant has unlawfully converted the monies, finances of the Branch to his personal gains and uses.
6. The Defendant misappropriated monies to the tune of about (N300,000.00) Three Hundred Thousand Naira meant for the Branch for the Defendant’s selfish gains…
8. The Defendant has been parading himself as the chairman of the branch and has usurped the positions meant for the branch benefits. WHEREOF,
