Born Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz, 96 years ago, he with his Comrades including Che Guevara, led a successful revolution that overthrew USA sponsored and backed brutal dictatorship of Gen. Fulgencio Batista.
He enacted sweeping reforms over the almost five decades that he ruled. On the one hand, the changes he implemented provided rural areas with electricity, offered free education and health care to all Cubans, and weeded out racism in his country’s society.
After multiple assassination attempts on him sponsored by USA Government, Commandantè Fidel died of natural causes on 25th November, 2016.
