Eastern Bar Forum(EBF), is the apex umbrella pressure group of South Easterners in NBA. Its membership spans through the old East Central States which today is; Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross Rivers, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo and Rivers States. And in NBA, certain posts are zoned to each of the 6 geo-political zones.
The following EBF members whom we gathered had submitted their nomination but refused to appear before EBF Screening Committee, are;
SECOND VICE PRESIDENT
The post of Second Vice President is zoned to East, comprising of the 9 States in the then East Central States. In the zone, the most influential pressure group, Core East by the is Eastern Bar Forum (EBF).
Those who did not come are; Mr. Clement Chukwuemeka (aka “Democrats”) immediate past NBA Bwari Branch Chairman, Mr. Anthony Chukwurah of NBA Gwagwalada Branch and Mr. Finian Eze Ndukwu of NBA Mbaise Branch.
WELFARE SECRETARY
Immediate past NBA Assistant Secretary, Chinyere Obasi; former NBA Barnawa Branch Welfare Secretary, Mr. Churchill Aniekwena and Maximus Ugwuoke of Enugu Branch, did not turn up.
ASSISTANT PUBLICITY SECRETARY
Mr. Akachukwu Nwoye, current NBA Gwagwalada Branch Secretary was conspicuously absent.
GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE BAR.
None showed up. By the provisions of NBA Constitution, 6 persons are expected to represent the East in General Council of the Bar.
