Joseph Kabungo, a Zambian medical practitioner, attached to CAF, has died shortly after Ghana stopped Nigeria from qualifying for the 2022 World Cup on Tuesday.
An eyewitness said he was beaten to death by the urchins that invaded the stadium after the organizers refused to give them small chops and money. But a Nigerian sports official who pleaded anonymity, said Joseph kabungo, slumped and died when the mob was approaching where he was.
Nigerian authority, provided free bus and tickets to all manner of unemployed youths to attend the match.
We are reliably informed that the failure of the authority to give these youths refreshments during the match, aggravated them and once Nigeria did not qualify, news spread among these boys that the organizers, will not take them back in a free bus.
On getting to the car park where the buses ought to be, they found none and took to expressing their disappointment by vandalizing the stadium.

The Nigeria Sports Ministry and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) bought up to 20,000 tickets to and indiscriminately distributed among fans.
The Director General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, also gave free tickets to the first 500 football fans in stadium to watch the match.
